Anon 1. Fish do not have a smell, actually. Fresh fish, caught from the ocean, will smell fresh and like salt water.
The Reason you "Smell Fish" in some bad markets, or Fisheries, is simply because they are old, and have not been properly kept, it is the smell of Protean breaking down.
This also leads to the fact, that if a woman, or even an uncut male, are unwashed, or do not take care of themselves, and either often masturbate or engage in sexual activity, they can "Smell like Fish" which is of coarse, the breaking down of Protean not washed away.
